Throughout my years of experience as a therapist, my vision has been to encourage personal growth and eliminate familial disharmony.
For the past two decades, I have Managed and Directed Programs, supervised over a hundred clinicians and overseen the most challenging of client's stressors. I earned my stature as a Marriage and Family Therapist by assisting in various community counseling agencies dealing with issues such as depression/ mood swings, abuse / child abuse, and prevention, ADHD, anxiety, anger management, extensive family therapy, group counseling, substance abuse and sleep disorders. I also worked in conjunction with Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino County Social Services in helping people through some of the most traumatic of situations, doing what it takes to help families reunify and stabilizing those in severe crisis.
Over the years, I have transitioned full-time to my private practice. I have developed a more meaningful way of facilitating growth with individuals and families by helping them learn through their challenges and make the changes they have desired. Seeing people feeling lonely, hopeless, in pain or without meaning and support are some of the toughest situations to go through, yet I have helped in far too many successes to know I can and will help those I see; everything and anything possible.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Master's Degree in Counseling. My clinical knowledge and skills in Marriage & Family Therapy have expanded and are continuously being harnessed through ongoing trainings. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists and honored to have held numerous Board positions within its local Chapters.
I have lived in Chino Hills and Phillip's Ranch /Diamond Bar for the past 15 years and know my community well. My greatest thrill is spending time with my family and I make plenty of time for this key part of my life. I am active in volunteering with local organizations and the schools and take great pride in my efforts (see the Pomona Unified School District's website at PUSD.org). On top of that, my greatest accolades are the kind words from my clients and those therapists I have supervised. MFT's are licensed therapists, marriage counselors and psychotherapists but a little different from a psychologist or life coach. Call me to learn more. I am pleased to note our clinical team, including Elizabeth Sanchez, MFT Registered Intern.
